Text Box: Welcome Text Box: Nisan (April) is the month of the Passover for The Children of Israel. April is also the first month of the year. The Passover ordinances are as follows as it is written: Ex 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year (April) to you. Ex 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: Ex 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month (April 14): Ex 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Ex 12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month (April 14) at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month (April 21) at even.                   Text Box: The purpose for the Passover is to remember the day Yahweh Passed over our houses before our Exodus when we were in Egypt. As it is written: Exodus 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt both man and beast: and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am Yahweh. Exodus 12:27 That ye shall say, it is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our house. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. Exodus 13:3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.
